There should be a left turn lane here to enter the post office lot. It is not unusual for me to be the second person waiting to turn left across the southbound lanes. One car can enter the median, but not two, and tonight there was a third car behind me. We were all waiting for south bound traffic to clear so we could turn, but two cars were stopped in the northbound traffic lanes.
